  • Nancy K. Ostrom, MD
    Co-director of the Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center
    Dr. Ostrom practices her clinical specialty of allergy and immunology at the Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center, and serves as an investigator for clinical research trials. Her medical teaching appointments include: Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy and Immunology, at the University of California, San Diego; Adjunct Clinical Professor at San Diego State University School of Nursing; and clinical preceptor for the allergy and immunology residency training program at Scripps Clinic Research Foundation.

    Dr. Ostrom received her medical degree from Mayo Medical School, Rochester, Minnesota. She then completed internship and residency in Pediatrics and fulfilled a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine where she received the Mayo Foundation Pediatric Award for Academic Achievement. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Ostrom has served on the Scientific Advisory Council of the American Lung Association and as chair of the Asthma Pharmacotherapeutics Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Asthma Committee of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Ostrom is a Certified Physician Investigator who serves as a consultant in Phase I-IV drug development processes and as an investigator in clinical studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of treatments for allergic rhinitis, asthma and other associated disorders. She has published and lectured in the areas of allergic rhinitis, asthma, and exercise-induced asthma, which was the subject of a book chapter she authored.

  • Gene Colice, MD

    Dr. Colice received his medical degree from New York University Medical School in New York, NY and performed his internship in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center, New York, NY and his residency in Internal Medicine at Bellevue Hospital in New York, NY. He then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, Conn.

    Dr. Colice is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) for which he currently serves as a member of the By-Laws and Quality Improvement Committee and as Vice-Chair for the ACCP Diagnosis and Management of Lung Cancer initiative. He has served as Chair of the ACCP Committee on Health and Science Policy and member of the Annual Program Committee and the Lung Cancer Steering Committee. He is also a member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS), for which he served as Chair of the Committee on Health Care Policy and Clinical Practice and member of the Council of Chapter Representatives and the Annual Program Committee. Dr Colice served on the editorial board of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and is currently a member of the editorial board for RESPIRATION and CHEST.

  • Timothy Craig, DO

    Dr. Craig has been in the field for 15 years and is on the Board for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and holds a leadership position in the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Craig received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the San Diego Naval Hospital. Dr. Craig completed a fellowship in allergy/immunology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1992. He is a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and specializes in research and patient care in asthma, rhinitis and the effect on sleep and hereditary angioedema. Dr. Craig is a member in the Asthma Clinical Research Network and the AsthmaNet, both funded by the National Institutes of Health to study asthma. He is past chair of the sports committee of the AAAAI and ACAAI and past president of the PA Allergy and Asthma Association. Lastly, he has received multiple educational awards and is now a Distinguished Educator.

  • Nemr Eid, MD

    Dr. Eid earned his medical degree from the University of Liège in Belgium. He completed his postgraduate training in pediatrics and in pediatric pulmonology at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. He has served as chairman, and/or faculty member in many national educational initiatives relating to childhood asthma and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Eid is a member of many national and international professional organizations, including the American Thoracic Society, where he serves as an advisory member to the society’s Clinical Practice Committee; the American Academy of Pediatrics; and the American College of Chest Physicians, where he was the Co-chair of the Fellows Course both in 2003-2007. Dr. Eid is the recipient of the 1997 "Irving H. Shaw Distinguished Service Award" from the Kentucky Association of Health Underwriters, and was named in Best Doctors in America 2003-2009.

  • Mary Lou Hayden, NP, AE-C

    Mary Lou Hayden, currently an asthma and allergy nurse practitioner, has many years of experience, including more than 9 years in the Virginia Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Asthma in Richmond, Virginia, and 17 years in the Asthma and Allergic Diseases Center at the University of Virginia. Ms. Hayden received her undergraduate degree at the Stanford University School of Nursing, and then went on to receive her Masters in Science in the Family Health Clinician Program at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Association Credentialing Center and as a certified asthma educator through the National Asthma Educator Certification Board.

    Ms. Hayden is a member of numerous professional committees. She has been a continuous member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and is an active member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, where she has served on the annual program committee and as chair on the Clinical Research Course; American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, where she has served in several capacities, including co-chair for Allied Health and Clinical Research; and the Association of Asthma Educators where she has served on the Board of Directors. Faculty affiliations have included Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia, and clinical preceptor for graduate nursing students at Virginia Commonwealth University.

  • Jon Parsons, MD, MSc

    Dr. Jonathan Parsons graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors and Distinction from Duke University. He went on to Medical College of Ohio where he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at The Ohio State University.

    Dr. Parsons’ research interests focus on asthma with a particular interest in athletes with asthma and exercise-induced asthma. He has published many papers in international journals related to asthma and given numerous presentations internationally. He is Chair of the committee writing clinical guidelines for diagnosis and management of exercise-induced bronchospasm for the American Thoracic Society.

  • Stuart Stoloff, MD

    Dr. Stoloff maintained a private practice specializing in family medicine in Carson City, Nevada since 1978 and is a member of the National Institutes of Health, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) Science Base Committee for monitoring world asthma research literature, and a member of the Expert Medical Panels 2 & 3 responsible for the NAEPP Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma. He also served as a member of both the Working Group on Pregnancy and Asthma of the NAEPP and the Expert Medical Panel for “Pediatric Asthma” Promoting Best Practice Guide for Managing Asthma in Children. He is Vice Chair of the NAEPP Practical Guide Dissemination Initiative of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI), and a member of the AAAAI Task Force on Allergic Disorders.
